My Weight Journey

A Brand New Start

If you follow me on FaceBook, then you know my father recently suffered a massive stroke. It’s been really hard on my sister and I especially since we live 12 hours away. But after seeing my dad, who has always been the strong man in my life, lay there helpless, unable to speak or move I knew I had to do something for myself. I have had one stroke and several TIA’s, which makes me a high risk for a massive stroke just like my dad. It’s scary to think, that could be me one day.

So today is the start of a new day for me, I’ve started a new program for weight loss and I have the best support team behind me, my family! I’m not just speaking about my husband, daughter, and son, it goes further to my sister, BIL, & niece! All have made a pledge to keep me on track and encourage me through this journey. I have a long road to travel but I want to be around for a long time to enjoy grand babies so I’m putting on my traveling boots!

I have realistic dreams, I know I will never look like a Christie Brinkley, shoot I’m only 5’4 so that was never gonna happen anyway. But my goal is to be the healthiest me I can be!

So here’s to a new beginning of healthy eating, a new blog and positive thinking!  Stick around and maybe we can encourage one another!
