Out With The Old, In With The New

It’s the new year and as 2015 came to a close I have to admit I am so glad to see it go! It wasn’t the best year for our family with my fathers massive stroke and David getting ill, then right before Christmas his mother breaking her hip and her dementia acceleration. It’s been a year of stress to say the least. Though last night as we rung in 2016 snug and warm in our bed after spending the evening with our kids playing games and eating pizza, everything was alright with the world. I am thankful for my healthy, beautiful granddaughter who lights up my world everyday. I’m thankful for a loving, caring husband who puts me first and foremost and loves me unconditionally, and I’m very thankful for my two children who show me everyday what exceptional adults they are and how lucky I am to be their mom. I’m also so thankful for my extra kids, my daughter-in-law who is a wonderful mother and wife and our future son-in-law, who has brought so much joy and love to our family!  Though our circumstances haven’t changed, I’m going into 2016 looking for the positive and praying the new year holds many more blessings than last year.

In 2016 I Hope To:

  1. Be more positive.
  2. Read more.
  3. Create more art!
  4. Not allow the negative to bring me down!
  5. Try something new.
  6. Travel more!
  7. Exercise
  8. Be true to myself, stand up for myself and learn to say no when needed.
  9. Blog more.
  10. Have more family fun nights with our kids!

My wish for you and yours is a prosperous New Year!
